About Us
Knight Equipment Co., founded in 1945 by Aubrey Knight has remained a family
owned business since Aubrey made his first splice in Bowling Green, Missouri. His son, RJ,
worked alongside his father until in December 1975, RJ purchased the company. In 2025,
Knight Equipment is still family owned and thriving under RJ’s leadership.
Our Mission
Over the past 80 years, Knight Equipment Co. has experienced substantial and continued
growth in our three primary areas of operation: wire rope splicing and manufacturing,
custom rigging, and the ski industry where we serve our partners across the United States as
well as abroad.
This is our 250,000lb/25,000lb capacity testbed. It is used to test every sling that comes from our shop before they go out to customers.

We do custom wire rope splicing, such as the endless drive cables used by the Amusement Industry for their rides and endless cables used by the Ski Industry.
